Pennsylvania State University
President: Sara A. Quinteros
As of March 2008 Penn State University has become the newest chapter of SHH. This chapter has been founded by Sara A. Quinteros, a transfer from the University of Mary Washington, with the help of the Latin American Student Association (LASA) and its faculty advisor Dr. Andres Diaz. Sara met Shin her freshmen year of college where she learned about SHH and its cause. She quickly fell in love with the project and decided to continue to help SHH after she transferred. She is the acting President of the Penn State chapter and has great confidence in the club. Although it is still on its beginning stages many people have shown great interest in helping out with all the fundraisers and going on the service trips. Sara's main goal this year is to continue to increase membership and awareness of the club in Penn State and to bring down volunteers with her to our third annual Walkathon. In addition, by the end of this year she hopes to have officer's elections to officially become a club. She will continue to guide the Penn State chapter until she graduates and will act as the liaison between Penn State and her former school, Mary Washington.
